"Eggs-cellent" service tree...

This year, we are trying to focus more on the true meaning of Easter and not give so much credit to the Easter Bunny (although he will still visit our home on Saturday). We want to teach our children to focus on the life of the Savior and His resurrection. Because His life was perfect and we must try to emulate Him, we made an egg service tree. Every day each kid gets to choose an egg and perform the service that is on the paper and once it is done, they get the candy inside. I got my head rubbed by Logan today, Ashley got to write a letter to someone and mail it, McKay cleaned a house room with no complaints, Carson danced his heart out for one minute straight (some of the service cards are to just bring a smile to their faces!) while Savannah gave everyone hugs and kisses!
They look forward to it each morning and it seems to help them be a little happier as they leave for school.
