When we first went to the ocean, Hailey didn't want anything to do with it. She would see the waves come crashing in and would scream for us to pick her up. It took about three days and then she realized how much fun the ocean could be (and how much work it was for mom and dad to watch her!)
After she warmed up to the ocean, she would do the same thing over and over.
Run to the ocean...
wait for the waves to build up...

when the waves would come crashing in, she began her exit...
and would run as fast as she could before they knocked her down...
whew, she made it!

She is a brave little girl. I wonder is she has dreams about the water!
