It's official...

It's hard to believe but Jason and I are now the parents of a teenager.
McKay turned the big 13 on the 13th of March.
He is such a great kid who loves technology, wrestling, golf, cooking, cleaning our house, doing laundry..(just kidding, those last two are things he doesn't like at all!)

He can't stand when I take his picture but was kind enough to let me have 10 minutes of his time.

Happy Birthday McKay!

McKay asks for the same cake every year, the Self Frosted Decadent Cake.
It may take a couple of years off your life due to the
rich, delicious, moist, wonderful ingredients but honestly it is worth it.
SO
here is the recipe for McKay's favorite birthday cake...

Self Frosted Decadent Cake
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flaked coconut
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 cup pecans
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 Devils Food Cake Mix

Place 9x13 pan over medium heat on stove top. Add water, butter and brown sugar. Melt together, take off heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Prepare cake mix according to directions on box, set aside. Mix coconut, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, pecans and marshmallows. Sprinkle on top of cooled mixture in pan. Gently pour cake batter on top of everything in pan. Bake 350* for 29 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes and turn cake upside down onto tin foil. Let pan sit there for a minute letting all of the gooey stuff loosen. You may need to scrap some of the topping that sticks to the pan and put it back onto the cake. ENJOY! It is so yummy!
