Fun game idea...

UPDATE!! I have started a new blog HERE.
It will have all sorts of ideas about families, friends, organizing, etc.
so I can keep this blog more of a personal family blog-ENJOY!
www.organicfamilies.blogspot.com

We live away from all of our family so I came up with the idea of making the game, 'Guess Who' into a family version of 'Guess Who'. I replaced all of the regular pictures from the game with personalized family pictures.
I took the old game pieces and copied their size so the new ones would fit perfectly!
The kids love to play the game and are now very familiar with the family (including cousins, uncles, aunts) they don't see very often!
If you end up making this, make sure your pictures have fun and identifiable items on the pictures (hats, glasses, mustache, etc.)
It makes guessing so much fun!
We love family games!
This post was featured on the great craft blog UCreate, see it here and another great blog Doehler Days see it here!
For more great ideas, click on the label 'great ideas for kids' or 'gift ideas' below.
Enjoy!

Oh, Becki! That is an ADORABLE idea. Can you make ME one? The very thought of sizing it all and cutting it up makes me tired. I'm ALWAYS impressed by your creativity, my dear. You are the best!

Wow! What a great idea!

Love it! Did you try to pick pictures that would work well with the game (as far as being able to just have one person left after guessing)? I am totally going to have to make this when my kids are older!

You are a remarkable mother and wife! Did you take a M.S. in your career? I just now had time to figure out what has been wrong with my response to these blogs. Another year and I might add something to mine! Love, Gigi

My boys love this game and would have even more fun if we did had a version with family members.

I would love for you to link this up to my Christmas in July homemade gifts ideas linky party.

Hope you stop by soon!

I am so excited to use your adorable idea and make a personalized game for our family reunion coming up. I have all my pictures selected and since I will be stuck inside all day tomorrow I want to start cropping them to the right size. I was wondering if you could tell me the dimensions of the pictures you did for the new version of the game (I won't be able to get to the store until next week) so that I can start cropping them? Thanks again for sharing your fun idea!

That's wonderful! My children took the people out and left them in a pants pocket--which I WASHED--ruining the game. Now I can fix it! Thanks!

I love this. Guess Who was one of our girls favorite games. I'm so excited to replace those familiar faces with family faces to help our future adopted son learn his new family members while playing Guess Who. Great idea to ease the introduction to family. Thanks for sharing!

I love this - I think it would be great as a community builder at the beginning of the year in my classroom. Do I have permission to put it on a pinterest board? It would have a link to your blog, of course!
