Crazy, fun, busy holiday weekend...

We had a fabulous holiday weekend.
It was filled with lots of activities, lots of food and lots of fun!

We took the kids to Rock Ledge Ranch to hear some of our country's history.
They had Civil and Revolutionary War camps
where they would tell you all about their weapons, food, struggles, etc.
They even shot one of their rifles for us and of course this was the kids favorite part!

We went to a blacksmith workshop...

One of the most interesting camps was the surgeons-
He showed us tools he would of used for surgery back then and all I can say is I am so glad I live in today's time!

We then lit our own fireworks in between the hail storms that kept coming and going..

Yes, notice the blow torch in Chanse's hand-such an easy way to light fire works!

Then on the 5th the kids worked all morning picking up trash at Jason's building so we rewarded them with a quick game of bowling followed by a picnic and more fireworks.
Woodland Park has a firework show on the 5th.
It was a lot of fun but with 7,000 other people-quite crowded!
Hope your weekend was wonderful!
