My birthday day of fun-

Today I turned 28...
ok fine- 35
I remember when my parents were in their thirties and I thought they
were so old
and now my kids are telling me that I am so old.
Yes, I have a pretty bad birthday being so close to Christmas.
We have two kids with birthdays in December too so
Jason has requested we celebrate my birthday in January.
I think that sounds pretty nice.
BUT
today was a great birthday-
I got my nails lookin mighty fancy for Christmas, had a massage from an old man with a wooden leg without lotion, music or dimmed lights who told me the right side of my body was thicker and keeping the left side of my body alive, that my face was uneven and my breathing was wrong.
It was my fault I scheduled a massage at our gym so the kids could swim and boy was it an experience. I just didn't have the heart to say anything to the man!
I told Jason about it and that sweet husband of mine immediately called a real massage place to make up for it.
We then went to a place called TESSA  that shelters women and children from abused relationships and donated gift cards to help them. It is so neat to see places like this for people that need help!
AND
we then went to the Broadmoor to see their gingerbread house display so the kids could get inspiration for their own!

We walked around the beautiful Broadmoor and I was able to take some
fun pictures of swans and ducks with the camera I bought myself for my birthday present.
(thanks Jas!)

Then we went home so the kids could make their creations-

AND
then for our movie we were going to watch ELF and to make it fun Jason told everyone
they had to dress like an elf and the winner would get a prize.
It was so funny to see what everyone came up with-

Savvy wanted her hair funny so of course we made it funny!

Isn't this family HILARIOUS!
Jason made a delicious cake, we watched some movies and now the house is quiet and it is past midnight and I need to go get some serious beauty sleep since my face is apparently uneven!
Thanks for a wonderful birthday and for all of the birthday wishes!
Now onto Christmas Eve!

What a great day! Nothing like being told everything that's wrong with your body on your bday right?! :) Who did he think he was? I'm glad Jas got you a 'real' massage to make up for it. I can't wait to see your nails. So jealous! You guys are so fun. I love everyone in their ELF outfits. I think Carson wins for making himself a midget. :) ha ha! I can't wait to see you guys in a couple days! Yay for the holidays! Love you!

Sounds like quite the day!! Sounds like the massage man was a wacko! You are a wonderful, beautiful, fit young woman!! Don't listen to wackos!
The Broadmoor is beautiful during the holidays and you got some good shots.
I love all of the kids' gingerbread creations and boy do you have some interesting elves at your house! You sure do know how to have a good time.

Whoo mama! I can't believe you fit that all in a single day. Especially being as elderly as you are. ;)

Happy, Happy Birthday! A fun day for one of my favorite people. XO
