Randomness...

This past weekend I took Logan and his friends to a birthday party which was far away. They entertained themselves by singing songs and ALL of them knew every word to every song they sang... can we say new boy band?

I took the kids for a little park fun...

Jason brought home a new fire pit which of course is a requirement to roast SMORES!
YUM!

And Carson can never just sit still, he has to take objects and make awesome projects out of them. His Grandpa Nuttall sent him some wires and a project to do. After he completed the project he decided he needed to continue to try out the wires and came up with this...
Yes, he is amazing if I say so myself!

Ashley, gymnastics and the weekend...

Ashley had her first gymnastics competition this weekend...
We are so proud of her hard work!
7 hours at the Broadmoor made for a long day but was worth it!

Coach Karen...

After the competition we started making preparations for the big Super Bowl dinner-
McKay made football cookies and Savvy wanted to make football decorations so she and Hailey decorated away!

It was fun! Even though I don't really watch the game until the last five minutes, I always love being together and of course eating way too much food!

And to top our weekend off, it was date night for Ash and I...
Noodles it was!
Thanks Ash for a great date!

Lately...

Life has been amazingly beautiful and busy lately...
Just a quick update about some of the fun things we have been doing-

Hockey games with the kids-

Visit to the toy store-

I have been taking a vegetarian cooking class and have met some amazing people and learned amazing things.
School has started for me again, and oh.my. why do teachers think we need so much homework? Do they want us to learn or something?

We took the girls to see Beauty and the Beast in the theaters- it was a must
that they dress like princesses!

Glow Golf-

Shopping with the girls,
look at those little divas!

And of course all the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
Life is grand

A walk down memory lane...

On our way home from Utah Jason wanted to take a small detour
and stop at a cabin his dad and grandpa built.
It was fun that it was still there!
He showed the kids where he and his siblings would play for hours, it was great to hear
the fun times and take a walk down memory lane!

The rest of our drive home consited of crazy blowing winds which was not fun!
It was a fantastic trip!
Thanks family!

Leg wrestling in Utah...

We went to my dad and Nicole's house for some delicious
Christmas Eve breakfast and gift exchange-

All four girls and our dad-

My dad started wrestling McKay which was
fun to watch because he is a wrestler in high school and
tried some of his cool moves on his grandpa!

When my sisters and I were young we would always have leg wrestling competitions
so of course with all the wrestling going on, we had to do it again!

I may be flexible but my muscle tore and took a good week to feel normal again,
thanks Em for kicking my butt!

Of course my dad had to be in the fun and got whooped my Mis-
It was a lot of fun, thanks dad, Nicole and Harrison!

Christmas FUN in Utah part 1

We drove 9 hours to see our families for Christmas this year-
it was SO cold driving to and from but definitely worth it!

We stayed in the Grand America which is a great hotel with a fantastic view of the city...

We went ice skating the first night we were there which was fun, even little Hailey did it!
This picture cracks me up with Savvy, Hailey and Sophie! They hadn't seen each other for awhile so
it took a minute to warm up. They were inseparable by the end of the trip!

I celebrated my birthday out there-
We went skiing and Jason took me to a super fun and delicious restaurant to celebrate.
It was a blast!

Grandpa came with us and Logan said, "I had no idea Grandpa was a professional skiier!"
Jason, his brother and dad are incredible skiiers.
They were nice and hung with us green hill skiiers!

We were able to see our newest nephew blessed at the Madsen home...
Doug, Rachel, Gavin and baby Liam
The picture to the right made me crack up, little Gaviin did NOT want anything to do with pictures
so his mom made him! Too funny!
