Updates-

Spring Break has come and gone and the kids are quite sad they had to go back to school.
It was a wonderful laid back week.
Mckay snapped this picture of  me, Hailey and her bare buns catching a little nap-

The kids had sleepovers and here is Chef Jason helping Ashley and her friends make snickerdoodles-
 They were soooo good!
mmmmmm-

Logan had his friend Zac over to make movies-
Carson has become quite the movie maker too, here is their You Tube
account with some fun movies-

Saturday night Jason and I were awoken by a loud thud and then a scream from Logan. He had fallen off his bunk bed and hit the desk. He had a goose egg the size of a golf ball and cut open his head. We took him to the Urgent Care and thank goodness he didn't need stitches. Needless to say we did not get much sleep that night.
He wanted to me to post this picture of his cut head.  ouch, ouch, ouch-

Jason and I try and make new, delicious, gourmet food on Sundays. So we thought why not post all of the delicious food with recipes so our kids can have them? I will post the recipes for this food later as I am time limited but this past Sunday we started with chocolate, orange, pomegranate scones that were so delicious!

Dinner was marinated steak, chicken and the best part was the homemade
macaroni and cheese that Jason made. It was so good we all had 2nds and 3rds-

The dessert was chocolate cupcakes with cool whip topping-
all so delicious and yes, I have now gained 10 pounds from eating so much!

Family time is so great, I wish we could have more of it!

Little Miss Sunshine...

Spring Time fun-

Spring Break-we love sleeping in, hanging out, and being together.
This outing was similar to the show Wipe Out without the water part.
The kids had a blast!
We took the little girls to little bigg town while the older kids spent
4 hours competing against each other!

Ashley was the only girl against 9 boys and boy did she hold her own!

Needless to say, they were exhausted but had so much fun!

Very belated birthday pictures...

I always take my kiddos birthday pictures but these two have
December birthdays so they always get them taken late. But lo and behold,
we did it this weekend and I must say they are pretty darn cute if I say so myself.

Logan-

Ashley-

Mark this moment in history-
they are actually hugging and not trying to hurt each other!!!

Oh wait... I guess it was too good to be true!

Mom-no more pictures plllleeeaaasssseeeee!

St. Patty's Day and my envy of the zoo...

St.Patty's Day...
The day of green, pinches and leprechauns-
It's always fun putting my kids school lunches together for the holidays...

Green for our breakfast too!

It was 75* today and I felt like taking the girls outside to enjoy it. We decided to go to the zoo and
as I was walking and taking pictures of these animals, a little envy crept into my brain.
I mean how would it be to be an animal in a zoo?
Yes for the most part, miserable, but maybe for a few days it would be nice.
Imagine-

being able to play all day with my kids with no thought of cooking, cleaning or carpools....

to spend hours thinking and pondering about life...

to have beautiful coloring all the time with no worry of blemishes...
and me oh my...
to be able to sunbath and sleep all day long....
Thank you zoo animals for being caged up for our pleasure... your life really isn't that bad!

I love Savvy's face here. The gorilla behind them kept picking his nose and eating it. Savvy thought it was hilarious!
