Happenings...

I ran my2nd race of the year, yay for me. Maybe for one of my races it won't be 20 degrees and freezing!

McKay was wrestling and the other kids tooth sliced his eyelid open.

He needed two stitches and I'm sure we will be receiving a million dollar ER bill but it is healing great!

Jason and I took the girls to an Atlanta Hawks game, they had a blast and cheered so loud! Hailey would say, 'Go team, go team...hey mom what team do we want to win?' 

It was pretty darn cute.

Savvy caught a falling t-shirt, it's as big as she is but she was thrilled!

Good times!

Football games...

Logan had his last game of football to determine if they made it to the play offs and YES they did!

It was Breast Cancer support month, so the team showed their support with some pink too!

 

 

Logan loves football and always has some awesome action each game.  

He's #5 with the ball...

Swim Team MADSEN

I signed 5 of my kids up for swim team this year and within seconds of doing so I heard whining, complaining, crying, anger- you name it. They have never been on any swim team so I thought it would be good for them to try it since our neighborhood pool is right by our home! 

At first they hated it and couldn't swim very well but by the end?

They became amazing swimmers and were begging to go to swim practice, they loved it!

They all placed in their swim meets every time-

Savvy and Hailey couldn't compete but loved taking lessons.

Now we go a couple times a week and I do their swim workouts with them..

let's just say I'm no Michael Phelps but it is a great workout!

 

 

Farewell Wrestling...

The boys finished wrestling last weekend..

It was so much fun but I must admit I am relieved it is over!

There was only one injury with Logan landing on his knee really hard.

Good job Logan and Carson!

Seriously the coolest coaches ever!

This is a video of Logan (in the blue) he likes to try cool moves when he is wrestling and competes against some other great wrestlers. People would stop by and watch these young boys wrestle because they were all over the floor trying some awesome moves. This video also shows Logan landing on his knee and even though he got injured, he won the match!

Our lives lately...

It's two in the morning and I can not sleep worth anything.

Maybe it's good because I am 

so 

far

behind

on blogging, Christmas shopping, editing pictures, you name it.

Life is beautifully wonderful but a little crazy right now!

One wonderful thing is...

I got LASIK!!
Don't I look hot in my shower cap and eye protectors?
Oh yea! 
All I can say is

if you are even considering LASIK.

DO IT!

I can't believe it took me this long to do it. I was telling Jason it almost makes me cry to be able to 

wake up and see clearly, to not have constant blood-shot irritated eyes and to be able to see details on trees and mountains. 

It is 

simply 

amazing!

 

Our lives have been overcome with wrestling. We have almost four tournaments a week which last anywhere from 4 hours to 6 hours each.

The weekend consisted of more wrestling though we were able to sneak in

3D movie of HUGO. It was great and so much fun to be with the family!

Now it's almost 4 and my body is finally realizing it needs at least an hour of sleep 

so I am off to snooze land....

He had a blast playing for his elementary school team for a month.

Short season but sure fun to watch!

Cute kids at swim lessons...

I realize I haven't been capturing my kids and all of the sports they participate in, 

just the competitions. 

I keep thinking I have to have my nice camera with me in order to take pictures

but I don't...

I have a camera on my phone and 

by golly, 

that can capture anything, even if it isn't the best quality!

These are from swimming lessons.

I know they aren't really of swimming but I couldn't resist capturing 

their faces with the pool in the background.

I was hysterical with this picture. I told Hailey to smile and smile she did!
