It's that time!!!

Spring is only 18 days away, thus it is time to play in the dirt and get our garden ready for planting season!
I love the first signs of Spring, budding Lilac bushes...
Jason made these garden covers to keep out
the pesty rabbits that invade our yard and try and eat our garden!
Thank you dear husband!
Getting the dirt "just right" for the tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, onions,
herbs, squash and potatoes we are going to plant.
"It's ALIVE!!" The first sign of our chives!
And my dear Savvy who is trying to feed our neighbors dog some bark,
(sorry Suzanne!)
My grandparents, RaNae and Neldon were the ones that instilled a love of gardening in their grandchildren. They had a garden that was as big as our backyard. Every summer we would be put to work harvesting the tomatoes, peas, etc. I would eat more tomatoes and peas then I would put in the bucket. So so so tasty. Thanks GG and Poppy for your examples!
"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade." ~Charles Dickens

Becki,
I have spring fever too! Lucky you- I do not have lilacs but I am watching my pussy willow tree. Spring is definitely in the air!

Looks like you had a great day outside. Can we just skip spring and go right into summer? Oh sorry that might be bad for your garden. Yikes if Becki doesn't get her tomatoes!!!

Spring is a bit ahead of us in your neck of the woods although I did catch sight of a few crocus popping their golden heads up through the snowy ground in a neighbors yard when out on a walk the other day! Can't wait for spring to be here in full force. Love the Charles Dickens quote - he explains it perfectly. Hope the garden is a great success this year!
