We are off...

Do you know how much work it takes to prepare to leave your 6 kids with Grandma and Grandpa and get yourself ready to leave?
Jason keeps asking what in the world I need to get ready when I will only be gone for 5 days.
Well....
Get daily schedule organized and printed
Wash sheets so they will be fresh for Gpa and Gma
Get traveling money
Check in for flight
Plan, make and freeze meals
Get church clothes organized so Gma won't have to search for church shoes like we do every Sunday
Clean out van so Gma can actually see the floor
Pack myself
Make sure bills will be paid on time
Charge camera batteries
Buy welcome flowers for Grandma
Buy books to read on the plane
Buy some cute clothes so I can look gooood for Jason
Arrange rides for kids activities
Buy crafts for kids and grandparents to do
Clean house
Run last minute errands
Warn and bribe kids to be on their best behavior
Sigh
Pass out
and then
leave.
Thanks to Gpa and Gma Madsen for giving up their quiet house and uninterrupted sleep so Jason and I can have a little time away.
WE LOVE YOU!
Now,
New York...
here we come!

I'm soooo jealous!!! Have fun!
I'm sure your in-laws are more than qualified to hold down the fort while you're gone. (Watch them shred your to-do list as soon as they walk in the door he, he)

Have a great time. I agree, so much work to even step foot out of the house!

I laughed at the part on your list where it said, Make sure Door is locked or Savvy will leave. Have fun. I am jealous.
