In Memory of Grandpa Hansen...

It has been a sad couple of months with two of my grandparents passing away.
My sweet Grandpa Hansen passed away from cancer this past Thursday night.
He was such an amazing man and sure knew how to make you laugh!
We will miss you Grandpa Hansen!



ROGER HANSEN


Roger Leon Hansen 1933 ~ 2010 Our loving husband, father (Pops), step-father, grandfather, brother and friend, Roger, passed away August 12, 2010 at home, in Midvale, UT of Pancreatic Cancer. He was born in Provo May 13, 1933 to Oliver Moroni and Edna Miller Hansen. He attened schools in Provo, as well as the University of Utah in SLC. He married Donna Wise Nuttall on April 26, 1970. Survived by his wife of 40 years and his children, Gale (Julie) Manor, TX; Robbie (Elliott) SLC, UT; Steven (Connie) LA; Russell (Shelly) Annabella, UT; Richelle (Todd) Woods Cross, UT; stepchildren, Pam Nuttall; Shawnee (Mark) Hahn; Kris (Alven) Gines; Terry (Nicole) Nuttall; Rick Nuttall all of SLC. Between Roger and Donna 44 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren; brothers, Victor (Ruby); Patrick (Marie); sister June (Lloyd) Henrichsen; sister in-laws, LaVon Hansen, Judy (Bill) Drain, and Betty (Frank) Fornelius; and also many cousins and family. Also special friends Susan, Sue and dog Misty. Preceded in death by his sisters, Lois (Russell), Alta (Richard), and brother Omar. Roger was a jokester and full of life. In his early life he raised Dobermans, he was a former Bountiful police officer, a SLC Airport Engineer, and a Construction Superintendent in Texas for 25 years building many hospitals and shopping centers. He belonged to Mtn. View Christian Assembly. He was a donor for cancer reseach at the University of Utah .

So sorry to hear of another loss. It isn't easy losing grandparents but there is comfort in the memories that will continue with us. God Bless you, dear.

I'm sorry Becki. It's hard to see our grandma's and grandpa's leave us. It's sort of bitter sweet because we know that they are in another place and being busy and happy but we miss them. My prayers are with you.
