Keep kids brains WORKING during summer!

My kids think summer is a time for laziness, games and endless sleepovers. Though we do have a lot of those days, I also make sure their brains don't turn into mush with some daily reading, math, and  projects. My new favorite project is our weekly Sunday reports. Every Sunday the kids draw their subject and have one week to write a one page report to be presented in front of the family. It has been a blast and some of the papers have been pretty interesting!

Seriously, where do you come from?! ;) This is such a great idea. I'm going to have to remember this when my boys get older. Love ya!

Will you send me this list? I've tried to copy, paste, print, nothing. I writing it down myself would take too much work. :)

Great topics and great idea to keep their minds working!
Logan looked so serious which isn't a bad thing.

Great idea (again, you are amazing)! I have been feeling like my kids are turning into mush this summer as well, so I made them start reading, but I like your idea! Although mine start school next week, so I am late reading this, but maybe during their breaks and next summer!

The idea of presenting a report every week is wonderful, it helps to keep a check on where things are going with kids. I found a lot of interesting ideas going through your post and will certainly employ them when the time is right.
